In September 2020 NSW will go to the polls to elect 128 local councils across NSW. The Greens NSW currently have 56 councillor on 33 NSW Councils covering a combined population of over 3 million of NSW’s 7.5 million residents.

Greens Councillors have played a vital role in councils divesting from fossil fuels; helped create community power co-operatives and declare a climate emergency; led campaigns to keep childcare, waste services, swimming pools and libraries in public hands; they have championed the right of residents to address Council, access information and be meaningfully consulted. Our Greens Councillors work hard, they advocate for change and they generate media every day.

Our goal is to have 80 Greens Councillors elected to 46 Councils in 2020.
