NSW is already home to nearly 100 data centres, with even more under construction or in planning. Data centres consume massive amounts of energy, water and land, and around the world are impacting seriously on communities where they are located. Communities are uniting in the fight for stronger controls that put people and planet first, before big tech profits.

The data centre proposed at the old Kogarah Golf Course site is one of the largest projects before the NSW planning system. Many in the community have raised concerns with not just the scale of the proposed development but its broader impacts on community health, liveability, air quality and local ecosystems.

Come to a community meeting to discuss the Cooks River data centre proposal, as well as the latest developments proposed across Sydney, their likely impacts, and what we can do about it.

All members of the community are welcome to attend this free event.
