Rents cotninue to rise and Labor watered down promised protections. After our successful renters town hall we are hitting the streets to share the Greens vision for renters.
Doorknocking is one of the most effective campaigning tactics we have at our disposal as it gives us the opportunity to talk to the community face to face, allowing us to have more persuasive conversations. It is the best way to change someone’s vote and so it’s very important that we get out there and talk to as many voters as possible.
We will meet at Ashfield Park - the corner of Pembroke and Ormonde St at 9:30am Sunday 16th August.
If you have not doorknocked before that is okay! We will run a brief training at the start and we will make sure you are paired up with someone who is experienced so you can learn from them. Everyone will be paired up so you don’t have to worry about doing it alone.
Please wear a Greens shirt or badge if you have one, as well as bringing something for sun safety and wet weather.
We will have a debrief and food/drinks afterwards at Ashfield Bowlo
This event is not fully wheelchair accessible. We unfortunately cannot guarantee the routes and people's homes will be wheelchair accessible. Please contact us though if you are a wheelchair user and we can discuss how we can best to support you to take part.
