Join us to get the word out about our Cap Rents and Free Public Transport Campaigns!

Here's your chance to hit the streets with the Member for Newtown Jenny Leong, and connect with the Newtown community at one of the Inner West's most vibrant events!

Join the Greens on Sunday, 12 July, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm as we take part in the King Street Crawl. Jenny will be joining volunteers to talk with locals about two of our biggest cost-of-living campaigns: Cap Rents and Free Public Transport.

We'll be running two street stalls throughout the afternoon:

  • Outside Newtown Train Station

  • Outside the Newtown Pride Centre

Whether you're an experienced campaigner or volunteering for the first time, we'd love to have you involved. You'll be supported by experienced volunteers every step of the way, so no previous campaigning experience is needed—just a willingness to have friendly conversations with members of the community.

What to wear
Please wear a Greens T-shirt if you have one. If you don't, get in touch with me before the event and I'll arrange one for you before the day.

King Street Crawl is always a fantastic community event, making it the perfect opportunity to meet fellow Greens supporters, campaign alongside Jenny, and help build support for practical solutions to the cost-of-living crisis. We hope to see you there!
