Abigail Boyd, (MLC since 2019) led the national conversation on the perils of corporatised early childhood education and care, relentlessly pushed for progressive economic reform that puts people above profit, and is a tireless defender of workers’ rights. Abigail worked alongside early childhood workers, whistleblowers, and investigative journalists for to expose the flaws in the early childhood education sector in NSW.

Abigail is joined by Margaret Gleeson, Managing Director of Keiraville Community Preschool, in Wollongong. She has been teaching in primary schools and early education since the 80’s and learning and playing at Keiraville since 2000. She has been actively advocating for community preschools, fair funding and children’s rights since 2001 when she co-founded a campaign Illawarra Preschools Alive.

vulnerable people in our community - our children.
