Join the NSW Young Greens Contingent at the Rising Tide's People's Blockade

Join us at the People's Blockade 2025 to say NO to new coal and gas

Visibility is one of the simplest and most effective ways to spread our message and promote our party to young people. By forming our contingent and chatting with the community at the People's Blockade, we can reach hundreds of community members in just a short time. Everyone helps grow our movement and build support for the Greens/ Young Greens.

The main idea here is to simply have a community of Young Greens members as a support network for each other.

We will meet each other at some of the different locations in the area:

  • The Protestival is at Camp Shortland and our flotilla launching from adjacent Horseshoe Beach.
  • Climate Concert is at Camp Shortland.

Please wear a Greens shirt or badge if you have one, as well as bringing something for sun safety and wet weather.

This event is not fully wheelchair accessible. The majority of events are on the beach.

The People’s Blockade is held in Muloobinba/Newcastle and is close to Newcastle city and public transport.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
