Join Senator David Shoebridge for a bushwalk in Maitland

An easy loop around historic Walka Lake with excellent birdwatching opportunities and over 140 species recorded. Well-formed gravel trails around a heritage-listed 19th-century pumping station. A walk suitable for people with moderate access needs and wheelchair users.

  • Time: 9.15am for a 9.30am start - finish by 10.30am 
  • What: 3km loop track on gravel and groomed path, accessible 
  • Meet: Walka Water Works carpark near Maitland Parkrun start 
  • Transport: Private car 

This event is fully wheelchair accessible. Well formed gravel trails suitable for wheelchair access
