Manal is a Barton local, a lawyer and passionate advocate for civil rights. Shaped by her multicultural upbringing, she is committed to addressing inequality and becoming a strong voice in Parliament that truly represents the interests of the community.

A word from Manal:

"Previously, I worked at a community legal centre, supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community. I’ve stood alongside them during some of the toughest times in their lives, fighting for justice and their rights.

At the same time, I’ve witnessed the growing struggles in Barton. Rising costs of living are making it harder for people to make ends meet. Many are forced to choose between paying their mortgage or affording essential items, while large corporations benefit from massive subsidies and record-breaking profits.

I am committed to addressing this inequality. I pledge to stand with my community, work alongside them, and help drive meaningful change for a fairer future."

This evening will be a chance to meet Manal and Senator Faruqi in person, hear what drives their passion and to share your thoughts on what is important to you this federal election. There will also be opportunities to donate to Manal's campaign and win prizes on the night.

This event will be held at Cosmopolitan Beauty Lounge with entry and wheelchair access from the level footpath.
