Join Senator David Shoebridge for an outing of our Greens Bushwalking club at the wonderful Grand Canyon track in the Blue Mountains

Date: Saturday 8 February 2025
Time: 3.15pm for 3.30pm start, finish by 6pm
What: 6.3km loop track, hard walking with steep descent and ascent
Meet: Grand Canyon carpark
Transport: Private car 15 minutes drive from Katoomba

This walk is easily one of the most beautiful in the Blue Mountains. The trail follows a ledge above Blackheath’s Grand Canyon, winding through peaceful rainforest gullies, past towering rock overhangs, and under gentle waterfalls. There’s even a sandstone tunnel to walk through before the path leads you down to the canyon floor. The hike finishes with a solid stair climb up to Evans Lookout, where the incredible views of the Grose and Govetts Creek Valleys will take your breath away—if the climb hasn’t already!

This event is not fully wheelchair accessible. It's hard walk with significant steep descent and ascent.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
