Join Macarthur Greens, co-host Save Sydney's Koalas and our friends for a rally at Koshigaya Park, followed by a short march and barbecue.
We are witnessing the beginning of massive koala and wildlife habitat destruction across the Cumberland Plain - Campbelltown, Appin and Wilton, including the Appin Rd.
For Koalas and all native wildlife to survive we need the NSW Government to deliver:
-
Koala corridors, overpasses and underpasses which are fit for purpose.
-
Gilead Stage 2 NOT approved.
-
Lower speed limits on Appin Road.
-
An expansion of the proposed Georges River Koala National Park and adequate bush regeneration.
Bring your friends and family to hear special guests speak briefly before we march through Queen St to Dumeresq St and return.
Enjoy a sausage sizzle for lunch to finish the day.
Bring your banners, placards and drums.
This event is wheelchair accessible - there is a footpath.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
