New rental rules are coming in 2025. Find out what’s changing.
Working with tenants’ advocates, grassroots activists, legal centres, unions and renters we campaigned hard to put renters’ rights on the agenda. Thank you to everyone who has backed our campaigns and helped make this win happen.
After over a decade of campaigning, the NSW Parliament has finally passed laws that will ban unfair, no grounds evictions.
This ban comes together with a range of other changes to rental laws in NSW including requirements for all landlords to provide a free way to pay rent and changes to the rules around pets in rentals. So, what will this mean for you if you’re renting?
Come along to our Renters’ Town Hall on Tuesday 3 December to learn more about how these changes impact renters. You can join us in-person on online via Zoom.
Register here to attend in-person at the Inner West Pride Centre, Newtown. This event is fully wheelchair accessible. Lift access to the upstairs hall and an accessible bathroom are available.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
